Very perfumed and seductive, the wine lifts out of the glass with fresh, crisp aromas of pear, kaffir lime leaf, D’Anjou pear, and white flowers with hints of graham and Madagascar vanilla bean. Fermented with 30% whole cluster inclusion, our first Pinot Noir from Zotovich Family Vineyard offers pretty and seductively layered aromatics of potpourri, raspberry, white pepper and pine. This is classic La Encantada Vineyard with its dark cherry and cranberry fruit layered around earthier terra cotta, wet clay, and hints of smoked paprika. The medium body richness is accentuated by bright berry fruit, hibiscus, black tea and cracked pepper. Aged 16 months in 100% French oak, 33% new.
Sourced from the Happy Canyon AVA, Vogelzang and Star Lane Vineyards, Sonny Boy brings to our lineup a wine with bigger structure, full bodied and tannic, yet plush and approachable. Loaded with plum, currant, licorice, spice, and sweet oak. Aged for 22 months in 100% French oak, 40% new.
