2017 Sanford & Benedict Vineyard Chardonnay
This wine offers depth and richness, with beautiful balance, purity, and elegance. Planted in 1971, the vines tell their own story, this wine is layered with hints of apple blossom, white nectarine, pear tarte tatin, lemon oil, brie rind, and hazelnut. The palate brings some weight from the soil, exposure, and vine age, but with bright acidity and a savory mineral driven mouthfeel, the wine has great palate presence and length.
Aged on its lees for 15 months in 100% French oak, 20% new.
